Female Fertility
Female infertility is defined as the inability to conceive a child or carry a pregnancy to full term, despite having regular, unprotected sexual intercourse. If you are a woman under 35 and have been trying to conceive for a year, or over 35 and trying for six months, you should consult a fertility specialist. Although female infertility is most closely associated with age, it is very common and can happen to anyone of any age, gender identity, race, or sexual orientation.
Male Fertility
Male infertility is defined as the inability to impregnate a female partner, typically due to factors related to the male reproductive system. Male fertility challenges are often caused by problems with sperm production, sperm motility, structural abnormalities of the reproductive system, and other factors.
LGBTQ+ Fertility
If you’re part of the LGBTQ+ community, you’ll likely need help trying to grow your family. At Main Line Fertility, we can assess your reproductive health and recommend a wide range of potential treatments, including intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), egg donation, sperm donation, surrogacy, reciprocal IVF, and fertility preservation (freezing eggs, sperm, or embryos).
