Some fertility patients need to receive medications via injection, which are most often done in their home, not in the doctor’s office. Some people find this to be a difficult part of their treatment.
Injections can be subcutaneous (into the fat under the skin) or intramuscular (into the muscle). You can give them to yourself or a partner or person from your support system can do it.
